Q1: What inspired you to choose your current career?
A1: The Junkluggers and I kind of just found each other. I met Bob (the owner) through Taylor (my wife) and had been looking for a new job. It was just after Covid in march of 2021 and it had been time for something different.

Q2: What do you enjoy most about your day-to-day work?
A2: the thing I enjoy most about my day to day work is every day is truly something different. The jobs are different. The conversations are different. Each day presents new challenges and problem solving that you don’t get at your standard office job.
—
Q3: How does your career contribute to your personal growth?
A3: my career has helped my personal growth tremendously. Driving a truck every day getting experience with that. Simple stuff like learning how to use a drill and other tools. Then you have the customer service side of things getting comfortable talking to people every day and going outside my comfort zone of selling the business and talking in front of groups of people that I normally wouldn’t be doing. It’s also helped me become a problem solves. Walking into different difficult situations every day and trying to understand how I can help our customers and thinking of things on the fly to make the day go smooth
—
Q4: What do you find most rewarding about your career?
A4: the most rewarding thing about my career is seeing how much we can truly help people. Our customers didn’t always know that we are a service provider to our community but we have helped so many people and have seen customers crying tears of happiness after we have helped them.
—
Q5: How do you maintain work-life balance in your career?
A5: my work life balance has been a struggle since beginning at the junkluggers but something that has been managed. The days at work can get log and there were some days where I’m not getting home till 9-10pm and sometimes even later. But just recently I stepped into a new role at the junkluggers so I can have more time to spend with my family. My son was born in December so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing important moments in his life.
—
Q6: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?
A6: just to give it a chance. People think junk removal isn’t a serious industry and that it can become a joke but the way we do things provides a service to our community that helps our environment and our customers out big time. Every day is a different day of things we may have never seen before and you will always see something different each day
